OUR NEW SERVICE
SCORE® Established Business Consulting
Princeton SCORE has added a new service for established businesses with
annual revenues of $1 million or more in Mercer and Middlesex Counties.
Established Business Consulting (EBC) is a new, free
service and complements Score’s traditional free counseling services
for small businesses and individuals starting a business.
To qualify for this no-cost counseling, a firm must have a minimum of
$1 million in annual revenues and be domiciled in Mercer or Middlesex
Counties. In addition, the firm must make available to SCORE counselors
its Chairman, CEO or other senior executives. EBC counselors will work
with these designated executives to advance the firm’s business
objectives.
EBC will focus on the following key areas:
- Business Strategy
- Business Planning
- Finance including P & L and Cash Flow Improvements
- Operations and Organization
- Marketing and Sales
- Human Resources
As with any professional consulting practice, the EBC consulting service
includes working with its clients to gain a solid understanding of the
client’s business, issues and objectives; developing recommendations
for change; and working with management to implement recommended changes.
The process may take as few as 2 or 3 counseling sessions or may involve
periodic meetings over several months Meetings between SCORE counselors
and management will be at the client’s location or SCORE location.
EBC counselors selected to work in the program are retired or semi- retired
seasoned volunteer executives with significant experience in a variety
of businesses. Some of their career highlights are:
- CEO of a developmental telecommunications company
- President of a global information business
- Human Resources Partner/Practice Leader at a major consulting company
- Treasurer of a major international corporation
- Regional Asia Pacific VP for a global transportation company
- General Manager of a leading consumer products business
